PORTLAND, January 12, 2004–Qmedtrix announced the appointment of Dr. Steve Stratos as chief learning officer and vice president of staff development, effective January 1, 2004. Stratos also will serve as a member of the Qmedtrix executive committee. In 2003, Qmedtrix created Q-University, an extensive staff education and training program designed to provide lifelong learning experiences for all employees. Stratos, who served as a consultant for Qmedtrix during the past year, was instrumental in creating Q-University and serves as one of its instructors. We asked him to join the staff and executive committee because of the importance Qmedtrix places on staff education and development. His appointment illustrates our commitment to being a true learning organization,” said Dr. Merrit Quarum, President and CEO, Qmedtrix. Prior to joining Qmedtrix, Dr. Stratos developed staff and educational programs as interim senior pastor at Hinson Church. He was alumni and recruitment coordinator at Western Seminary from 1996 to 1999. From 1998 through 2000, Dr. Stratos lectured on “Creating Healthy Families” for Hesed Ministries.
