PORTLAND, September 11, 2003–Joining the ranks of Oregon’s fastest-growing technology firms, Qmedtrix placed 11th in the prestigious 2003 Deloitte & Touche Oregon Technology Fast 50.

The Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 includes public or private firms that encompass all industry segments, including biotechnology, semiconductors, Internet, software and communications. Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over the past three years (2000-2002).

Qmedtrix underwent a rigorous financial screening process to complete eligibility for the award.

Making the Fast 50 list qualifies Qmedtrix to be considered for the Technology Fast 500 Awards, recognizing fastest-growing technology companies throughout North America.

Along with other Technology Fast 50 award winners, Qmedtrix was honored in an awards banquet on September 10. “This achievement recognizes our strong financials and profit gains, but also our vitality as a company of individuals and teams working together toward a common goal: reforming health care,” says Merrit Quarum, M.D., president and chief executive officer.

The award is the latest addition to Qmedtrix’s roster of honors received this year. Recently, the company was named to the Business Journal of Portland’s list of Top 50 Technology and Software Companies and is a finalist in the 10th annual Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum Entrepreneurship Awards.

In its first year in the Technology Fast 50 list, Qmedtrix’s 11th place ranking is quite an accomplishment, says Todd McLean, vice president of Business Development. “We’re honored to be named in the top tier of the most successful, fastest-growing and cutting-edge technology firms in Oregon,” McLean said. “We plan to place even higher in the rankings next year.”
