Merrit Quarum, M.D.
Chairman of the Board, President and CEO
Dr. Quarum founded Qmedtrix in 1996. Prior to this, he was
a partner in a number of medical practices in Oregon, which
he sold to Concentra in 1999. He has served as Medical Director
of Golden Eagle Insurance Company, Legacy Occupational Medical
Clinic, Health Net Comp 24, Reed College’s Student Health
Services, and the United States Postal Service. Dr. Quarum
has been a physician consultant for organizations such as
Portland General Electric, Boise Cascade, and the City of
Portland. He served on a Center for Health Transformation
panel, and has lectured at the Oregon Health Sciences University,
The Oregon Governors Occupational Safety and Health Conference,
Risk & Insurance Management Society (RIMS), and Workers’
Compensation Claims Association. He was named Health Care
Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Pacific
Northwest region in 2004. He has published in Journal
of Neurochemistry, Clinical Medicine, Journal
of Biological Chemistry, and Molecular Pharmacology
and serves as a member of the Working Group of the American
Nuclear Society Standards Committee.
M. Todd McLean Executive Vice President
M. Todd McLean brings 20 years’ experience
in financial and general management to his current position
as executive vice president of Qmedtrix. He directs the company’s
strategic business development and corporate communications.
Mr. McLean has previously lead the company’s California
dispute resolution and litigation team, corporate contract
development, and national sales and marketing. He also
serves as one the company’s primary spokespersons and
is an active Qmedtrix board member. Prior to joining Qmedtrix,
Mr. McLean was an associate vice president of investments
and assistant manager with A.G. Edwards. Previously,
Todd McLean was a Quantum portfolio manager with Prudential
Securities, Inc. and an investment banker with Gill and Associates.
In addition, he was a founding member of Agtown.com LLC,
a web-services and development company.
Andy James Senior Vice President, Product Development
Mr. James leads the teams responsible for
developing, testing and maintaining Qmedtrix’s services
and systems. He also oversees the staff responsible for Bill
Review Operations and Dispute Resolution. His areas of expertise
include application and database design, business process
engineering, deployment and project management. Prior to joining
Qmedtrix, Mr. James was director of Operations for Bloodhound
Inc. From 1999 to 2001, he served as manager of business services
systems and lead information architect for Pacific Medical
Clinics, in Seattle, Washington. Earlier in his career, he
served as operations manager for Interim HealthCare of Seattle,
Inc.
